Created by the novelist Ian Fleming in 1953, James Bond, also known as 007, is a British secret agent working for MI6. The iconic spy has been portrayed in the films by actors Sean Connery, David Niven, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig. Featured in over twenty-seven productions, Eon Productions made all of the films but two. The James Bond filmshave been nominated for several awards throughout their fifty-year history. Most films won an award and include successes at the British Academy Film Awards, Golden Globe Awards and Academy Awards.
